My second spoken word album is ‘Break My Heart’. It begins before I finish my first spoken word album, ‘Ojo’, w/Bob Neuwirth, David Soldier, and Patrick Derivaz. Both albums feature a dozen players and the production crew. Cinematographer Robert Levi does video for the BMH sessions, with Billy Sarokin and Rebecca Stover.

Extraordinary diversity. There’s a harp and a harmonica in this band. Stellar capability. Ratzo Harris, Valerie Naranjo, Pedro Cortez. Musical improvisation from Rob Schwimmer, and the vocals of Laura Cantrell,and Daisy Castro, Daisy also on violin. Wade Schuman, Satoshi, Bill Browder, Robert Dick, Tiffany, poetry like a prose, prose like a poetry. Is there an echo in here? 

This is Circus Maximus where my words lack for nothing. I speak my piece, my broken spoken with world class music. 

Townes Van Zandt said, ‘Vince is a poet’.” Bob said my work was charismatic. I owe them both, but they know that wherever they, and Dr. Who are tonight.

Bob…No one was better to me. It was a dream for thirty years. There was no authority higher. I learned the business from him…of art. If I ever grow up, I wanna be just like him, or Geoff Muldaur.

On my first album Geoff said, ‘this yer first album, Vinnie?’ I said ‘oh yeah.’ Geoff said ‘good, get it over with.’
